Tour Edge 1 Backdraft GT Plus Putter (Right Hand, 35 inch)

Product Description

The new Backdraft GT+ features four designs with a jumbo grip all for less than $50. It is an outstanding way for golfers to try jumbo grips without re-gripping their favorite putter. The super-sized grip helps prevent the golfers’ wrists from breaking down making it easier to create a pure pendulum stroke. What’s more, it reduces grip pressure and minimize club head rotation for more made putts.

  • Jumbo grip minimizes wrist break down for a more pure stroke. It also reduces grip pressure and helps to reduce club head rotation to help golfers find the hole more often.
  • These deep center of gravity putters span from traditional and popular blade models to high MOI mallet styles models. All feature GT+ putters feature our new alignment aid.
  • High moment of inertia (ability to resist twisting) heel and toe weighted designs keep the putter square throughout the stroke so more putts find the hole.
  • Easy-to-use alignment aid, the same width as a golf ball, features a centered sight line. Plus, a TPE insert for responsiveness and a true touch.
  • Lifetime warranty and 30-day play guarantee

I have always liked this type of putter, so when my grip failed on my current putter, time to replace. In hindsight, I should have re-gripped my old putter, as my first game with the new one resulted in about 10 extra puts for the round. It just does not feel very balanced because the head has plenty of weight and I could not find a "touch" with it. Now many of you may like the extra weight, so this is subjective, I think I am better off with a lighter putter that has good feel. The grip is very thick and has a triangular shape that keeps the club steady, maybe I need to play with it some more. The quality is good, but I did see some nylon threads sticking out at the top of the club, hopefully, that does not mean something is coming apart. Nice headcover too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great putter, not so great look, November 11, 2010

Love the big grip, the setup, the feel and the control. Not a fan of the color scheme. The white club head just doesn't look right. But I like everything else so much that I won't return it. Just change the color scheme. Big plus that it comes with a nice head cover. 5 out of 5 on quality, comfort and usability. 1 out of 5 on appearance.
